Blossom passed away on 11th October 2010

Picture
Blossom was the oldest pig in my shed along with her sister Marigold ,who thankfully has 3 cage mates next door who she can see and chat to. Blossom passed away after I found her flat out when I went to the shed to give the piggies their evening snack. She was already near to trotting off over the bridge and passed away in my arms. Daisy passed away August 2010

Picture
Daisy was a rescue hamster who I had for about 14 months. She was dumped in our local petshop with about 8 babies who were already  about 12 weeks old. The woman just dumped then and said she didnt want them anymore. I dont know how ols Daisy was but guessed at about 2 years. She was a happy little girl who NEVER bit me. R I P xx

Bertie

Picture
My very first Rex was Bertie who was rescued by a friend and came to me 2 years ago. Not sure of his age but he trotted over the bridge on 17th June 2010 to be with all his pals who had gone before him. Bye bye Bertie. I shall miss you. R I P XX

Rosebud

Picture
It is with great sadness that Rosebud (MUM) passed away on 1st April 2010. She was very much a favourite and a very gentle girl. The shed will not be the same without her. :-(    R I P xx

Rainbow Bridge
By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.

For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.

The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over together
.
